Getting out of the house & keeping up with hobbies

Over the summer, it has become an important & beneficial part of my weekly routine to go for a walk every so often and let myself be reminded how lucky I am to be surrounded by gorgeous places! During the last few months I’ve visited many parks, nature reserves and taken spontaneous walks with my dad through parts of my town I didn’t even know existed. Even on the days where I can only manage a 5 minute walk, venturing out still brings me a sense of accomplishment and leaves me feeling grateful!

Below are a couple of photos from a brisk walk on Friday 19th October:

I have also begun watercolour painting! I started off with a floral water-colouring book & some paints from Tiger, plus a small pack of brushes from The Range. This was just over £10 for everything, not bad to start with! After getting the hang of it a bit, I bought a couple of Windsor & Newton brushes & Claire Fontaine watercolour paper.

I have mostly been painting leaves, trees & flowers plus practising lettering. I’ll put some easygoing, relaxing songs on & paint until I’m starting to feel tired, so not to overdo it. This is quite a therapeutic hobby and I enjoy being able to create something new every time! I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something new to try!

Here are a couple of my recent additions:

Thank you for reading! Have a good week!

P.S Happy Halloween, in case if I don’t post again before it comes along 🎃
